S15E28: Failed Fates – Humanity Gets An F
This week we rock out with Failed Fates a kickass band blending hardcore punk and doom metal. Madi plays rhythm guitar, Tom with guitar and screams, Eric on drums and newest member Michael on bass.

Reporting on the mucky muck of life. Reflections of a dark twisted society. Both punk and metal but not necessarily thrash. It’s unique and we really dig it here at the podcast.
We learn origins of Failed Fates and listen to several tracks from their self-titled debut album.

They are playing out a lot in the Reno metal and punk scene and are on all the platforms and streams services. We discuss local events like the recent concert at UNR for Hot August Nights, ballon races and their landing in Dick’s front yard, and that thing in the desert getting rained out.

Join us for some hard and heavy music from authentic funny dudes. Another great episode.
Life is short and we love you.
Thanks for listening.

S15E26- NOSEBONE: No Shame in Their Game
OMG you guys. Holy guacamole batman… it’s the return of the band formerly known as The Shames!! That’s right folks Scaught (also bass player for Elephant Rifle) on drums, Penny on guitar and vocals and Mikie on bass and vocals live at the Dogwater studios! With their new music and new band NOSEBONE !

We hear several brand spanking new songs and one blast from the past.
The band gives us the skinny on what lead to the new direction and the podcasts history with the ladies from The Shames a beloved Reno punk band.
It was great to catch up with a full house of hosts (including Thee Reverend Rory Dowd!) and guests. Ricks sister Gina is a big WLP fan and was with us live in studio to experience an episode being created. She picked a great week to do so. The Shames were the first music played on the podcast way back on episode two, so this our 603rd really felt full circle.

We skip the quiz in favor of music and get some upcoming shows in Reno and where you can catch NOSEBONE playing their first show in October. They are newly on Instagram @nosebonereno .

We had a blast and are completely stoked for this power trio of rockers and the future of the mighty NOSEBONE.
Life is short and we love you.
Thanks for listening.
#600! S15E23 600th Episode Extravaganza!
It’s our 600th episode!
To celebrate we had a party with our friends, Manchild Greg Gilmore, Spike McGuire, Roxxy Collie, the Grimtones, Larry Cooper, Glitter Bats, CandyApple&theRazorblades, Michael Tegio and good old uncle Nick!

Ten different live acts in one episode. What could possibly go wrong?

This was an amazing show and we want to thank everyone who played, everyone on the sound team, lord Stryse, thee reverend Rory, our hosts and guest hosts, interns past and present , and you dear listeners, thanks for listening. My apologies for not getting more pictures of everyone.

Fifteen seasons and 600 episodes! We love what we’ve accomplished and look forward to bringing you more Worst Little Podcasts for as long as the fates allow.

Life is short and we love you.

S14E42 The Christmas Episode- Naughty & Nice
It’s the most wonderful time of the year and our last episode of the season.
Join us for music, merriment and our final conversation of the year.

Rory’s youngest Billy was in studio but didn’t really have much to say while the adults carried on for an hour.
He seemed amused.

We welcome our intern Starfish to associate producer status and shall now be known by his real name Patrick. We get to know Patrick a little better by giving him the last quiz of 2024.
Music courtesy of our very own Nick Ramirez, a new one by Randall Wolfe, and the awfully jolly LNOY, all Christmas tunes. This year’s show is not our usual PG vibe, it’s definitely R. You’ve been warned.

Have a great holiday season and we’ll be back mid January to kick off season 15! Thank you all for a fantastic season of the Worst Little Podcast in the World. Life is short, hug your friends. Happy New Year. Peace and love to you and yours. Goodnight 2024

SEE YOU IN 2025 for SEASON 15!
S14E39 Chewie’s Thanksgiving Show: All the Way to Susanville
This week we reminisce with the original cast and Starfish the intern for a cozy episode with friends and music from Chewie’s archive. He put together a show with bands on a 30-year-old flier for a barn burner in Susanville featuring 5 bands from Reno: Loadstar(exclusive for our Patreon members, patreon.com/worstlittlepodcast) who actually broke up right before the show and didn’t play, Dirty Steve, Orange Peel, Sprout and Werm. 90’s Reno punk and alternative rock groups.

We take turns being ungrateful for something and slipping in some thankfulness as well.
We’re getting close to the finish line for this season and we are all thankful for you our listeners and supporters.
Our friendship is what keeps the podcast going and we are all grateful for that.

We hope you enjoy the show and have a wonderful thanksgiving weekend.
To the music makers of Reno and beyond. Thank you.
Life is short and we love you. Happy Thanksgiving!
S14E37: acrylic – Before the Flood Of ‘97
Season 14 episode 37! In a row?! Yup, that’s right, we’re back with late nineties Reno Britpop band; acrylic! Bill Conran and Robb Russo (Luke McMullan, Neil Edwards, Chris Davis, Steve Larkins, Gabe Larkins: not present) join us for literal coffee talk, the Cure’s new album and remembering the 90’s in Reno. Bowie, Love and Rockets, Stone Roses, the Smiths, these are the influences of the mighty acrylic. We get four songs from the band who should win Reno’s most unique local band of 1998. They played with the Killers before they blew up. Great double bill. Legendary.

We had a blast from the past catching up with dear friends Will and Robb from the wayback. AND! Reverend Rory made it in to host this very special episode, recapping his two days at the Reno Punk Rock Flea Market’s: Fleas the Season event as master of ceremonies Krampy Santa or something like that. Props to everyone at RPRFM and our favorite gal pal Kadillac Kim for another fantastic 2-day flea featuring mad talent from the area and beyond. Way to kick off the holidays Reno!

So hop in the time machine with us and hear of days of yore before the internet was a thing. Blue Lamp, Area 51, Planet 9, the Zephyr (not the Z bar, your dad’s Zephyr) Classic Reno. Enjoy. Thanks for listening. Hug your friends.

S14E2: Death Means Profit: High Desert Crust Punks
Howdy Reno neighbors and neighborenos! We are back with a fresh new band to meet and explore.
It’s 2024 and the young folks are still punk rocking for the betterment of mankind and for the sheer fun, absurdity and love of it all. These antiwar, pro equality anarcho-punx, Death Means Profit are comprised of Lilith vox, Gwen guitar, Silly bass, and Colin drums. They all hail from different regions of northern Nevada and 3/4 are graduating high school this year.

They bring the youthful exuberance and primal kick in the pants the music scene always needs. It’s got a skate punk vibe with the spirit of both English punk, like Subhumans and SoCal hardcore like the Germs. It’s a chaotic underground sound, short songs with a ton of progressive angst. Total freedom to do whatever they want, all making for a wild spontaneous and unpredictable live performance.

Their next appearance will be at the Reno Punk Rock Flea Markets next event. Punk Rock Prom? More on that later from our very own Kadillac Kim, who met Death Means Profit at Neutral Ground at the Holland Project and we just want to thank her for booking the band this week. Kim rules!

Thank you worst little listeners.
Life is short and we love you.
Undenied – Curtain Call – S3 E36
/
Off tha’ hook!
Worst Little Podcast – Download Link – S3 E33
This week, we’d like to introduce to you the unleashed power of Undenied, a metal band here in Reno. Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond our control and up to the whim of the Norse gods of old, this has turned out to be Undenied’s final performance! EXCLUSIVELY from the Worst Little Podcast in the World at Dogwater Studios. Almost three full seasons in and we STILL bring you exclusive crap every week!
But that’s what we do here at the Worst Little Podcast – we document Reno’s music and bands before they have a chance to break up and fade into ignominy! It happens, and we wish Casey, Fester, Cameron, Dee and Ace nothing but the best in their future endeavors and facemelting!!! These guys are pretty talented, so it won’t surprise me to see them forming other bands or getting snapped up by existing ones. When it comes to bands that entertain us, Undenied is in the winners circles. Lots of fucked up lauchs on the show, including a water sports story. Yes. That’s exactly what I mean. We even have video proof of this wacky tale of hi-jinks gone absolutely right! Just look below:
Wasn’t that fun??? *shudder* Thanks, Undenied! Don’t let the door hit your ass on the way out!
Thanks for Listening!
Small Drawings – In Tha’ Garage – S3 E35
/
Bam! Just like that!
The Worst Little Podcast – Download Link – S3 E32
We’re getting caught up here. This should be the last late episode for a while (BOY, an intern sure would be nice, if you know anyone who wants to learn about the exciting world of podcast production!). However, this week, the wait is definitely worth it (again).
Continuing the current trend of rock and roll duos, Small Drawings is up in here this week. Like the jerks in jeans and t-shirts that they are, Small Drawings puts out a big indie garage sound and screams the night away. Drew on the guitar and Mike on the drums have a great set of original songs that will kick your amps up to 11.
On the show this week we also re-iterate the announcement of the Good Luck MacBeth 2014 season, including Evil Dead: The Musical which will be directed by Ashley Marie in October of 2014. This is a special announcement, since Reverend Rory FINALLY gets to talk about his role in the production as stage manager. We’re all super excited for this. If you are interested in auditioning for the 2014 GLM season, you can do that in just a few weeks; get the details on auditioning here.
And Finally, we take the time to introduce our newest WLP Intern, Nate. Not much to say about him yet. But don’t worry; I have complete confidence that he’ll fuck up soon. So the next time something goes wrong, don’t blame Reverend Rory – blame Nate. Don’t blame Dogwater Dick – blame Nate. It’s a fun and easy game you can play at home.
That’s all I’ve got for now. See you on Thursday with a great episode featuring Undenied.
Thanks for Listening.
Wolpertinger – Late Like a Pregnancy Test – S3 E 34

I am so full of fail… again.
The Worst Little Podcast – Download Link – S3 E31
Wolpertinger in the studio! Who are Wolpertinger? Well, aside from including Gary Kephart, Wolfgang Price, Tommy “Cancer Survivior” Plunkett and Rich Washburn – listen to the show to find out more about the fantastic personalities that are Wolpertinger. What does Wolpertinger sound like – well, either listen to the show or check out Reverend Rory’s review of them in his most recent “100 Word Bias” column in the latest issue of Reno Tahoe Tonight!
I should really apologize to the guys from Wolpertinger for the lateness of htis podcast – Halloween really kicked all of our asses, with the Punkin Carving Party, the actual night of, friends’ birthdays, drinking heavily and all the other usual stuff. But I hope they can understand that no offense was meant – Dogwater Dick and Reverend Rory are just lazy assholes.
Well, I ought to sign off and work on the next podcast so that it’s not late – check out our next episode with Small Drawings!!!
Thanks for listening!
