All dressed up and ready to go but wouldn’t you know it, as usual the Triflin’ Bitches LIVE episode was not to be. First it was Covid a couple years back, forcing a zoom episode, then another unexpected drama with a band member breaking up right before their next appearance, leading to a lackluster episode with bad Cure covers, and finally, today’s show was to be their live triumphant return with full band, and new songs, but of course the band’s luck is hard and after a house fire and a car wreck, only half of the Bitches were able to make it. No one died or was injured, thank goodness.

You’ll have to listen for more on that.

What we do get is a humble visit with Scott Sherwood the bassist and Logan Bongiovani, lead Bitch on guitar and vocals. Logan is also the main songwriter /self-professed thief, inspired by pop culture, unapologetically lifting lyrics, melodies and sometimes even riffs from music, comedy and movies, to create something new.

With John Frederick on keyboards and Scott Hauder on drums, the newest recordings from our very own Dogwater Studios are fantastic. Pop punk, hard living, humor, horror and gothic vibes blend for a cool unique production.

We had a blast catching up with these longtime friends.

Speaking of longtime friends, our leader on indefinite hiatus, Thee Reverend Rory Dowd is celebrating his 50th revolution around the sun with a Roast! Sure to be delicious! Music and comedy at the Cellar stage at Alturas bar Friday December 8th. Come on out and celebrate with us, we’d love to see you!

Thanks to the Triflin’ Bitches, someday we’ll get you live.

And a big thank you to our dear listeners.

Life is short and we love you. Good night bitches!
