Silver – Untarnished – S6 E33
Welcome to a whole new year, mofos!
The Worst Little Podcast in the World S6 E34
We hope you all had a happy and safe new year; we sure did. Starting things off with a bang is Silver, self-described as “American Roots Music” and featuring the musical stylings of Adam Landis, Brendon Lund, Jeff Knight, Josh Kisor and Greg Gilmore. Unfortunately, Mr. Landis was not able to attend this evening’s recording as he was indisposed. “Indisposed, HOW?” you say? Well, according to all best information he “split his face open on NYE”. Not the Landis moneymaker, no!!!!! However, the band was still able to pull of a couple songs without his talents. (We wish him a speedy recovery)
In addition to some canned music with Landis on it, we got the rest of they guys in Silver to play us a couple songs live! It’s really some good stuff with strong music. This is high energy, high talent, Reno supergroup material; they’ll will make you wanna dance, drink or argue – and possibly all three. With a number of high-profile shows under their belt, they are looking forward to playing with Failure Machine and Joan and the Rivers at The Loving Cup on Feb 17. You can also catch Greg Gilmore at The Jungle on Jan 27 and in a short set this Friday at Foxy First Friday at the Foxy Olive ! The man gets around.
Thanks for Listening!

Rock and roll hoochie koo all over your gabba gabba hey! Rigorous Proof, early guests of the show, come back this week and kick the roof off, reminding us why they’re still a successful rock band in Reno. Johnny Harpo, Adam Landis, Jesse Gaddis and Wes Forester rejoin us in the studio.
The Worst Little Podcast in the World would like to take this time to officially endorse Bob and Mike Grimm for Co-Mayors of Reno. Although they didn’t make it in the free for all primary (finishing with -3 votes), they still remain viable write-in candidates with a platform, WLP can really stand on.
In case you’ve missed them, Rigorous Proof is a 4 piece rock funk band here in the Washoe County. Having gone through some name and lineup changes in the past four years, they are back together as the original band with a whole new set of songs, polished to a sharp keen. Having laid low for a while, they’ve been writing and recording a new album, due out later this year. This episode teases some of their new songs.
This weekend, please join me at Evil Dead: The Musical: The Reno Edition Freak Show Fundraiser. We are putting together funds to help bring this show to Reno in October, coinciding with our Indiegogo campaign. Featuring sideshow and varietal entertainment, this show will wow the socks off you. Come see mentalism, acts representing the peak of physical control, dancing ladies, escapistry and feats of musicianchip, including Lacey Mattison, Cody Canon, Alphabet Cult, The Shames and Pinky Polanski performing the songs of Rocky Horror Picture Show!!! Only $7 – and we have a raffle with great prizes including tattoo gift certificates, cheesecake, a thirty second commercial and more!
Thanks again to Rigorous Proof for coming in and hanging out – they’re a bunch of fun dudes who love making music and telling stories.
Thanks for listening!
The Proof is in the Rigor! – S1 E42
Worst Little Podcast – Download Link – Episode 42
Time keeps marching on and so do the days counting down towards the Marianarchy Winter Ball. I am very honored to be returning as the host and emcee, along with some backup from Nick, Chewie and Rick, and really hope to see as many of you as can make it down for either day of the event. I will, of course, be there all day BOTH days. Stop by, say hi, BRING ME COFFEE!! (vanilla-caramel creamer and 3 tbsp brown sugar in that, please)
To the show! We talk about how a lot of Reno bands stay togetehr just long enough for people to like then and cut a CD; then they break up. Rigorous Proof is the phoenix that has arisen from the ashes of the Madorians (among others). If you know these boys, you know they switch lineups more often than they change underwear or get haircuts. Hell they broke up at least twice on the show, kicked out the bassist and let him back in, AND changed their name a few times. Kids these days!
Currrently, the Rigorous Proof consists of Johnny Bailey (vox/git), Wes Forester (drums), Adam Landis (keys) and Jesse Gaddis (bass). Jesse had to show up late, so in the beginning of the show we have some intense 3-piece adaptations of some of their new songs. Finally though, at the end he adds his fat tones to the mix for their final live performance of the show. They sound really good, despite being recorded by tin cans hooked up to a wire.
The show starts off a little shakey, I admit, but by the time we hit the two hour mark, you’ll be glad you ‘tuned in’. I’ve got to go deal witha sick munchkin, so until next week, ladies and gents: Thanks for listening!
