S7 E35

Congrats on stumbling upon our humble little podcast! This week our hosts sat down with the Adorables to talk some utter nonsense and hear some really great political folk punk.

The Adorables are a bit of a Reno super-group. All three members have been involved in the Reno music scene for years, with impressive stints in some of Reno’s finest rock bands like Stabby Unicorn, Pinky Polanski and Liver Scars (among others!). The Adorables are playing Marianarchy for the first time this December.

Greetings, earthlings!

The Worst Little Podcast – S4 E28 – Download Link

It has been a while! Hope you enjoyed last week’s flashback fun – that show is a train wreck.
This week on the show we’re happy to have Jamil Apostol and Kirsten Crom from The Bonfire Set sit in and be assaulted (possibly offended) by the chaos that is Dogwater Studios and the WLP crew. Logistics prevented more of the band from being on live with us this time, but we had a chance to sit down with the CD and two of the musicians behind it.

Nick is back with us this week and we talk about his travels around the state promoting the Movie and such. Revernd Rory hung out at home and went to a ghost motel tour, while Rick recorded bands. I know crazy! Nick is looking forward to playing with the Liver Scars and Turbonegra at Shea’s this weekend – should be a killer time. Go see it.

Anyway – enough about the episode – onto the show!
Thanks for Listening.

Hey NOW!

It’s been a while! Hope you haven’t missed us too much. We had a great time in the last couple of weeks and open the show talking about all of us going to The Mike O’Meara Show LIVE at Circus Circus. Super fun happy time!! There were also a bunch of other shows we saw, including The Liver Scars CD release show – opening up for the Misfits. These babies come with a Limited Edition LiverScars comic book. You need to get one for your personal person. We play a few tracks this episode for your listening enjoyment.

Jym “Wild Eyes” Bettencourt

On the show this week we have ourselves another funnyman. Jym Bettencourt, noted Reno podcast whore, takes a turn on the WLP machine this week. Jym’s relatively new to the stand up thing, but no stranger to performing or the stage. Reverend Rory has gotten to see him a few times and thinks he is hands down on of the most inappropriate creeper comedians in town and a MUST SEE if you like good edgy comedy. Jym also brings along a special musical guest, marginal children’s music songwriter, Gary Mayflower. Gary works out some personal issues on the show and makes some real progress, right up until the end.

Gary Mayflower – NOT Jym Bettencourt

I just today got a phone call from the lovely Desiree Sarchet, booker and promoter for the Studio on 4th. She says she’s been hearing that they went out of business, but wants to assure everyone that it is not the case. They ARE running under different management than recently though. Desiree and her crew are trying to breathe new life back into the place and create an art and music venue with regular showcases. She is having an open call for local artists and local acts to book shows there. If you’re a band that had a bad experience with Studio on 4th recently – it is under new management, so please check them out. Desiree is one of the good ones!

Anyway – Happy Turkey Day! We at The Worst Little Podcast in the World are thankful for you guys and gals out there supporting us every week.
You’re the best.
Thanks for listening!

The Worst Little Podcast S2 Ep09  – Download Link

As promised, here is a “Best of” episode for this week. Nick picked the songs and is somehow only on half of them! Way to show some restraint, Mr. Rockstar. It’s a really good list of songs and bands that we had on in the first season. I really hope you enjoy it. The misc includes songs from Danielle French, Felix Polanski, Kate Cotter, the Digidelic Cowboy, Merkin, Seasons of Insanity, Red Mercury, Blunderbusst, Hella A Capella and Trever Crow. Diggit

No pictures this week, but some plugs. Lots of difficult Choices this weekend.

1- Friday 4/13 – Present CD release at The Treehouse Lounge with Big Remote and The Gunner’s Daughter.

2- Friday 4/13 – Nor Cal V. Nor Nev at The Alley, featuring The Firebombing, Rat Damage, City of Vain, Urban Wolves and Ill Eagle.

3- Friday and Saturday 4/13 & 14 – Spring Fling with Stiff Kitty, a burlesque review at the Studio on 4th

4- Saturday 4/14  – Birthday Bash at Shea’s with The Melodramatics, Reno We Have a Problem, Trench War Audio and The Liver Scars.

Well, that’s it. Stick a fork in me.

Thanks for listening.
