The Grimtones – So There Were These Bears – S8 E8
S8 E10
Welcome to the Worst Little Podcast. We’re live from the recent, snowy past this week for our third installment of our Women’s March shows with The Grimtones! For the first time ever our awesome intern Shrek got to hang out in studio A with Nick and Kim! Congrats on making it across the hallway, Shrek! This week we’re asking important questions like: are you still friends with her and is she going to listen to this podcast? Tune in for fat, sweaty, German brats, botched circumcisions, and punk rock battle wounds (RIP, Alise’s ankle). But MOST IMPORTANTLY, there’s some badass music from one of Reno’s strongest lady musicians.
The Grimtones spend their days cookin’ hot dogs, snorting kool-aid, fumblin’ about on yee plotter, and recording music. You can see Michelle, Carter, and young Nick, March 31st at Shea’s. They’re currently hard at work recording their new album at Dogwater Studios.
Thanks for the clap, Carter, and thanks to the Grimtones for being such excellent guests! Next week we have guest host Mikey Ramirez from The Shames joining us to interview Rachel McElhiney of Failure Machine and Alise Corbin of SWIGS for our final week of Women’s March shows!
Go see a couple of shows this weekend! Here’s Kim’s picks:
Friday – Acid Teeth // ManifeStatioN // Infecto Skeletons // Grimedog at Sheas. 8PM 21+
Sunday – Moon Hooch w/ The Accidentals & Six Mile Station at The Saint. 8PM 21+

Salythian – Metal AF – S7 E30
Oh, hi. Welcome to this week’s Heaviest Little Podcast!
Worst Little Podcast S7 E30 – Download Link
This week we have the talented AF dudes from Reno metal-core band, Salythian. These Reno natives laid some serious rock and roll on us here at Dogwater Studio. Not only are they seriously accomplished musicians, they’re social media wizards. Listen up to hear how they do the thing they do.
This mostly instrumental trio is made up of Amar Barboza- (Drums), Tell Gresko- (Bass), and Dawson Copeland- (Guitar).
Thanks to the band for being on the show! We had a great time interviewing you three and we’ll be looking out for your upcoming shows. Follow them on Facebook so you can too! Salythian rocks. Literally.
In other news, I would like to give a shout out to Headquarters Bar and to the bands that played Saturday night to raise money for the victims of the Las Vegas shooting. SWIGS, One Ton Dually, and Riptide Bandits slayed that room and raised $360. If you haven’t visited Headquarters yet, get your tail down there. It is Reno As Fuck in the best way. If you’re inclined to help your fellow Renoites make downtown greater than ever, head over to their fundraiser page. Thankfully we’re not burning and we’re not flooding! Our hearts go out to everyone affected by the recent natural disasters. We love you.
