Food and friends!

Long lost compatriots and great friends, KARMA, who have returned from their long US tour, are back in with us. They crashed the studio recently and hung out, but this time, we are treated to tons of new music! I’m really blown away by the amount of talent that we trick are lucky enough to have on the show even after 5 years. Grab her headphones tight, because they are on fire these days.
Because we are always branching and evolving and changing, we have another food guest on this week – and not one but THREE! Tony, Justin and Wolfgang of Shawarmageddon, a Mediterranean food window in the old Pneumatic Diner location. Shawarmageddon’s motto is “Eat and Destroy” and every shawarma is cook with the love of heavy metal. Good food, good folks, they came to play and have one of the more riotous quizzes on record.
Once again, it’s the end of the post and I’m out of things to say. What can I say, it’s been a loooong day. Check out open mic with Reverend Rory this week and don’t forget to get your advance all-access passes to the Off Beat Festival, Nov. 5-8, all over Reno.
Idol Smasher – Micro Suede – S5 E27

Warning: This episode is jam packed full of awesome. First, our guest – Idol Smasher, a Reno metal band that includes a member of the Dogwater family. Nate Sanders, Assistant Engineer on extended hiatus, is the guitarist for this wicked ripper of a band; he brings with him, his drummer, Tyrus Legg, and lead screech owl, John Bigby. John brings with him, his lovely, but mute, girlfriend Nessie – another Worst Little Podcast first! Never in five seasons has a guest brought a S.O. into the studio and made out with them throughout the entire episode, but here on Episode 201, we bring it to you. Like seriously, with tongue, and slurping and full-nipple.I do apologize in advance. Really, it’s great.
They did not, however, bring a bass player. His name was Alec or Axl or Alix or something metal-y. He fails. He’s a bass player and missed the show. I don’t care if he was rescuing puppies. But it’s cool. The rest of the group was cool as hell. Idol Smasher has a lot of shows coming up in the near future; we suggest you check them out if you are of the metal persuasion.
We didn’t even have time to ask around the guys what they did for the weekend! There was so much going on with the band and some surprise guests…
“Surprise guests?” you ask? That’s right! Fresh off the road after 10 months and 20,000 miles, KARMA has returned to Reno! Greg Gilmore, Michelle Belle and Carter Stellon all stopped by the studios to surprise Dogwater Dick in the afternoon and he just set up a shit-load of microphones so everyone could play. It was really really good to see our old friends again. We didn’t get into it too much with them this week, so as not to disrespect the actual guest, Idol Smasher, but they are booked for an upcoming episode, so please stay tuned!

You can welcome KARMA back to town at their big big homecoming show next weekend, Oct 17th at Singer Social Club.
Thanks for Listening!

KARMA – Glaze of Bory – S4 E35
Hello, hello!
The Worst Little Podcast – S4 E35 – Download Link
Great Scott! It’s a very exciting week here on the Worst Little Podcast. Not only did we enjoy a lovely update on Nick and Dick’s ever improving hygiene, but we also got to spend time with some old friends of the show!
We are thrilled to introduce to you the long awaited Reno super-group, KARMA. That’s right, these are seasoned musicians folks. KARMA is composed of the amazing Greg Gilmore on guitar and vocals, the sultry Michelle Belle on guitar and vocals as well, ridiculously good-looking Adam Springob on bass and vocals too, and the dashing Carter Stellon on drums.
KARMA is in the process of recording an EP at our very own Dogwater Studios. However, they didn’t play any of the songs that appear on the EP because it’s all very hush hush. Oooh, mysterious… But don’t worry, they will be playing a pre-order release show on November 15th at Jub Jub’s. Joining them will be Stabby Unicorn, Hungry Skinny, and more! Don’t miss this amazing opportunity to see what all the fuss is about!
You can follow KARMA on Facebook for updates on their EP’s upcoming release, and you should! We hope you are all as excited as we are about Marianarchy. Don’t forget, December 12th and 13th!
We’d also like to give a shout out to the lovely ladies of Bohemian Burlesque. They’re putting on a charity show benefiting Safe Embrace on Nov. 22. From the lovely Nicole Rose, “All of the proceeds from the show go directly to Safe Embrace, a local non-profit that gives directly back to our community. They assist men, women and children who are affected by intimate partner violence and domestic abuse, this includes Transgendered people. They provide housing, rent assistance, resume workshops, and community programs. This is a great event to help spread awareness, and support our community through this local non profit (and see boobs).” So check out their event page and support a great local organization. – Reverend Rory
Sam the intern here sincerely hoping you have a great week,
and as always, thanks for listening.
The Grimtones – Introducing Some Old Friends – S4 E17
Dang! I missed it!

Hey dudes and dudettes! I hope you’re ready for a great show! We have a brand new band on the show. Introducing: THE GRIMTONES! Michelle Belle and Carter Stellon, formerly of Scarlet Presence, come into the studio to show off their shiny new songs and impress us with how growed up they are! Seriously, these kids are sick talented. I AM JEALOUS OF THEM!!!!!
Unfortunately, Rev. Rory was unable to make it to the show (AGAIN!) so Nick really prepared this time and captained a great show this week. I can’t wait to actually listen to it! Chewie, of course, is still in the house and moved up a notch. Dogwater Dick and Nate the Intern are alsu, as usual, dismissed to Studio B, here at Dogwater Studios. But I know for a fact that Dick loves recording with these two, so I’m sure he didn’t mind just listening to The Grimtones.
At any rate, I’m going to stop blogging and get to listening to the show while I prep for my own shows this weekend. Come Check out Reverend Rory and Nick Ramirez at the re-inaugural First Fridays at Foxy Olive. Rory is taking over where Eric Foreman left off and Nick is his first guest too! Should be a great show. You can also catch Reverend Rory at Tronix this Saturday as the sole musical entertainment at the NNNLA’s Impact, a fetish exhibition and demo.
Thanks for Listening!
Scarlet Presence: Shredding into the Future – S2 E32
These tech difficulties brought to you by FML Producions!
The Worst Little Podcast S2 E30 – Download Link
There’s a whole set of awesome young musicians in Reno. We’ve talked to some of them on here before. Scarlet Presence is definitely one of them. These rock and roll rippers sat in with us with the full setup and shreddecd out some great tracks for us. Singer and Guitar-er, Michelle Coleman; Drummer, Carter Stellon; and future pizza delivery guy Bassist, Jonesy Pelsue invaded the Dogwater Studios this week to kill it for us. Michelle has got some powerful pipes and plays guitar like she was born with one in her hands. The boys round out the rythm quite nicely – but let’s face it, it’s all about her.
Besides the awesome that is Scarlet Presence, we also had some great phone interviews this week. First up is Rev. Rory’s long-time and very good friend Lucio “Reverend Screamin’ Fingers” Menegon. Lucio moved out to NYC from the Bay Area some time ago and is back for a West Coast Wake up call. He’ll be performing at Reno Art Works this Saturday for a night of music, noise and art. Also on the show is comedian Justin Russell who will be appearing at the Pioneer Underground Comedy Club all weekend long. The call with him could have gone better, but we had some severe lag issues.
Lots of good shows coming up this month – including Scalet Presence at the alley on the 18th, and Strega on the 20th. Also want to mention the Rocky Horror show at CommRow on Friday the 26th – featuring live music by Pinky Polanski and emceed by Reverend Rory AND the Nowhere Nevada fundraiser on Saturday the 27th. It’s October – one of the best show and pary months all year, so stay tuned!
Thanks for listening!
