The Zines are our guests this week. With Ava on vocals and additional guitar, Jack on drums, Ben on bass, also sings backup, Ryan lead guitar, and Davis on guitar who also sings occasionally. They are hard to pin down genre wise. Feist meets the Minutemen? Kinda? They are all really good players with a wide range of vibe. Their songs can be straight ahead rocking one moment then super funky for a bit then get dreamy and heavy and build up the energy to a glorious release.
Alternative music with heart and depth. Great tone and cohesive musicianship, great songs and grit. The Zines are just a really cool rock band. We are impressed and predict a loyal following for The Zines.
