Keller – Antisocial Wizards
We’re back worst little listeners!
All apologies to The Electric who will be rescheduled due to an illness last week on our part. Everyone is feeling better, besides the heat stroke. We have a fresh new episode with a fresh new band; KELLER – featuring friend of the show, fellow podcaster (MixTapes) and guitar wizard, Eric Stangeland as well as lead singer, band namesake, and our new bff, Katie Keller. They share a couple tunes off their new album Antisocial Butterfly.
We talk about the magic in the process of creating an album. Katie used to watch Eric play in bands like Convicted Innocence and now she fronts a band with their former members. “Full circle,” is how she put it. They also treat us to a live in house performance: great stuff reminiscent of Alice In Chains, one of Stangeland’s favorite groups. Katie’s voice is strong, smooth, and a little defiant. She’s a woman letting it all out, lyrically, and in tone. Don’t fuck with her: she’s been through some shit. We really enjoyed having them on.
We also feature our other bff and special guest host, Sophia Shortz! She gives us a recap of the Reno Punk Rock Flea Market and reviews two movies she hasn’t seen: the Flash, and Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny.
We had a blast. Thanks for listening!
