Down and Out in Reno Nevada – S7 E18
Hey, Reno!
Worst Little Podcast – S7 E17 – Download Link
Welcome to this weeks VERY not safe for work (or anywhere, really) episode of The Worst Little Podcast! This week we’re reflecting on awkward first porn experiences with Reno hardcore band Down and Out. Come for the gay jokes and tentacle porn and stay for the music and Nathan’s phone number. Down and Out is made up of Ian Ferriot- Vocals, Nathan Koop- Guitar\Vocals, Daryl Smith- Guitar, Colin Ferriot- Bass\Vocals, and Kyle Smith- Drums.
Down and Out just wrapped up recording their first EP and have recently played with Reno punk rock staples Reno, We Have a Problem and Jukebox Rebels in Fallon, as well as opening for Booze and Glory at Shea’s. Keep an eye on their Facebook and Instagram for upcoming show dates and listen in to hear a handful of the hard rocking, anger channeling tracks that were recorded live from the recent past, just for you, loyal listeners. Thanks again to Down and Out for joining us this week. Y’all are the tits. Join us next week when we welcome Trevor Snowden to the studio for more of the weekly shenanigans you have come to expect from the dedicated professionals (lol) at Worst Little Podcast.
While you’re waiting for Down and Out to play another Reno show you should support your local music scene. As always there’s no shortage of live shows in Reno this weekend and lucky for you I’ve picked your best bets already so you don’t have to! Friday, June 16th see Viva Revenge. Prince Robot, and Slutsville share a stage at Jub Jub’s. Saturday is Reno’s biggest and best folk showcase, Loud As Folk (event link), with Six Mile Station and Cowboy Indian opening for Hellbound Glory (!!!). It’s at new bat time and a new bat venue (RIP Adam West), 2 p.m., June 17th at The Eddy. After Loud As Folk, take a short walk to The Basement for some indie jazz/rock with Raksha Paksha and Reno anthem singer Grace Hayes at 8 p.m. If you haven’t been to the Basement (in the old Post Office) this is the perfect chance to fix that!
Go do things and don’t forget to stay classy, Reno. Or stay Reno classy. You do you.
Thanks for listening!
