We’re back worst little listeners, with some big guests from the Northern Nevada music scene, indie rock quartet, Sad Giants.
We had them on over six years ago and were impressed by the quick poppy folky rock trio. As a four member group they are elevated with newest member Jeremy on guitar layering leads over a rock solid rhythm section.
Bobby’s vocals are great . They remind me of Bob Mould , the guys from No Means No, and D Boon of the Minutemen. Deep tamber and passionate delivery.
Jesse and Quintin are an interlocked and tight rhythm section, rounding out a great rock band, IMHO.
Sad Giants make us happy big time.
They’re playing the Alpine in Reno, Friday May 30th, with NOSEBONE and headliner Dave Masud with his all-star band, for his sophomore solo record Three Quarter Life Crisis release party. That’s a killer lineup.
We celebrate Kadillac Kim’s birthday, discuss 420, we also play a round of both Good Song Bad Song and the worst little quiz!
It was a total hoot and the music was excellent.
Life is short and we love you.
Thanks for listening.
Hello! Welcome to the Worst Little Podcast. This week we have brand new to us band Sad Giants in the studio. Kim took the week off but everyone else was there to ask these guys all the important, hilarious, and inappropriate questions you’ve come to expect from us. Press play!
Sad Giants is Bobby Benedict, Jesse Moran, and Quentin Young. They describe themselves as a power trio that kicks out the melodic rawness of Americana rock ala Springsteen or Petty, with a modern pop wit that twinges each song with its own unique catch – from 90s college rock to melodic punk. Big thanks to the band for hanging out with us. Keep an eye on their Facebook for upcoming show dates!
