Hello and welcome to your favorite weekly Reno music podcast! We’ve got an extra full house this week. All your hosts and two interns welcomed my favorite garage-surf punks, The Habituals, to the show for the first time. Press play for the usual shenanigans, some cool art from our new intern, and some killer music from Tahoe City!
The Habituals are Kat Atomik-Vocals, Tom Odenheimer – Guitar, backing vocals, Dave Burright – Drums
They describe themselves as rock and rollers from the cold, dark mountains of the Sierra Nevadas, bringing their version of garage-surf-psycho-punk to kick in your eardrums and move your feet. We here at the podcast concur. Thanks a ton to the band for coming down from Tahoe to spend their Monday night with us. Be sure to see them at Born Dead Productions annual Zombie Ball in South Lake Tahoe on October 27th! Follow them on your favorite social media platform to stay updated for future shows.

S7 E21
Welcome to the Worst Little Podcast in the World! This week we’re hella excited to bring you Reno surf punk band SWIGS! Listen up for some serious on-air flirtation and for songs about Mario Kart and Sandwiches! Let’s get into the music.
SWIGS was formed in Reno this year by guitarist David Hadel, bassist Jonathan Daniel, and drummer Alise Corbin. Dave has been busy promoting Reno’s music scene with his own show, All Independent Reno Podcast, Jonathan is a veteran of the Reno music scene, playing for several years with Reno band Riptide Bandits, and Alise has been playing percussion in Reno and Carson since she was a kid. Together these Reno natives musical backgrounds led them to form one of Reno’s most high energy, fun new acts.
SWIGS recently performed at the Saint, playing with Riptide Bandits and Basement Tapes. You can see their next show at Whiskey Dick’s Saloon in Tahoe in August. SWIGS will also be hitting the road with Los Pistoleros very soon so be sure to like and follow them on Facebook to stay updated on their whereabouts. And check out their Bandcamp page to preview two songs from their upcoming EP!
Tune in tonight (Thursday) at 6 p.m. to 100.1 The X to hear SWIGS on locals only! We had a great time with you guys. Thanks for being on the show!
