When he’s not drumming with Nick Eng or his group The Delta Birds , multi instrumentalist Michael Tegio is writing and singing his own songs along with some very nice cover songs to boot! A fresh fellow of 19 years, Michael sings and plays acoustic guitar with the confidence of a seasoned vet. He has some pearls of wisdom here and there which was refreshing. Really a pretty wholesome show for us all in all: a soft R rating.
From the Monkees to Otters (not the mammal you’re thinking), Beatles and Beach Boys to the Worst Little Quiz, we had a fun time with great music by a young man we hope to see do great things! Seriously, you can tell Michael is a devoted singer songwriter who loves the history and craft of making music.
Speaking of the devoted! Marianarchy day 1&2 were a blast! We go over the good and the bad and look ahead to this weekends conclusion. Friday at Alturas on 4th street and Saturday at the 40 mile Saloon in midtown. A benefit for Reno Theatre. Hope to see you there! Life is short and we love you.
Here is your Double Dose of WLP for this week – good buddy Nick Eng! This young troubadour has put a lot of miles under his shoes and guitar since the last time he was on the podcast.
Nick is getting set to release a live album, recorded in the beforetimes at Holland Project. He also has some ‘live’ takes that he recorded for us in his home studio. Dive in and find out the details!
See you next week when we bring you some Reno punk rock legends.
Thanks for Listening!
