Hello! Welcome to the first episode of this year’s Women’s March on the Worst Little Podcast! Every year for Women’s History Month we celebrate Reno’s dynamic female artists, singer-songwriters, and bands. To kick off this month of shows we’re here with Jessica DaSilva Garrett and the director and partial cast of Good Luck Macbeth’s latest production, the Wolves. We are super excited to have Jessica, one half of buzz worthy duo Só Sol this week and we can’t wait to share inside details about GLM’s newest play. Press play for some great banjo tunes and more!

See Jessica with her band So Sol this Friday, March 8th at Dead Ringer Analog Bar with former podcast guests Bryan Jones and Josiah Knight.

Also with us are the amazing Jessi Briggs and Kristen Carder from Good Luck Macbeth. You’ve seen them in Young Frankenstein and Shakespeare in Love. Now they’re bringing you an exciting play by Sarah DeLappe. From the Facebook page: Left quad. Right quad. Lunge. A girls indoor soccer team warms up. From the safety of their suburban stretch circle, the team navigates big questions and wages tiny battles with all the vim and vigor of a pack of adolescent warriors. A portrait of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness for nine American girls who just want to score some goals.

Get your tickets ASAP. Like all GLM productions, this one will sell out.

Thanks to our guests for being on the show this week! We’re back next week with Jen Scafidi and two surprise guests! Head to our Patreon to donate and keep an eye on some special member only perks we’ll have news about soon! Next week we’re back with Jen Scafidi and some secret guests! Thanks for listening!

Be sure to catch them in Reno next during Off Beat Music Fest, happening November 8th through 10th. We’ll let you know exact dates and times soon!

This week make sure to get out and do something! Here’s where we’ll be. Okay, here’s where your resident party girl, Kadillac Kim will be:

Josiah Knight – S7 E4

Well look at what the cat dragged in!

The Worst Little Podcast S7 E3 – Download Link

Josiah Knight, a folk/Americana singer/songwriter from Reno, NV, stops by the studio again at the top of Season 7. Longtime supporter of the show (check out his episode from Season 3), Josiah remains quite active in the Reno music scene, becoming a staple performer at many an acoustic or folk showcase, like Reno’s own Loud As Folk. In fact, his song is available on the Loud As Folk website:  www.loudasfolk.com/recordings.

Josiah Knight

Josiah is hitting the road here in a few days to bring his own brand of murder ballads to lovely and vibrant Southern Oregon for a few weeks. Please check him out and support him in his travels. He’s a swell dude with a luxurious and regal beard.

In other news – SK8 JAM at Jub Jubs is just one week away, the think tank for Return To Nowhere is spooling up this weekend out at Middlegate Station. Friend of the show, Brian Jackson tells us that we should be looking out for Brother Paul , a blues musician from the Stockton area who has recently released his album “Cadillac Pickup Truck”, a retrospective of his last 10 years of writing and playing blues and rock.

Thanks for listening!

“It’s not the guest’s fault – it’s all mine.” – Reverend Rory

The Worst Little Podcast – DOWNLOAD LINK – S03 E13

WARNING: I want to start this post with a warning. I, Reverend Rory Dowd, am a big bucket of fail this week. Right out of the gate, I faceplant into a brick wall, every joke I tell and bit of information I say in the first 30 min of the show is wrong wrong wrong WRONG! I apologize in advance. But I was SAVED-uh! Josiah Knight, Reno singer/songwriter, comes in and plays some really killer tunes for us, picking the show right back up. This guy is a new-ish friend to all of us (within the last 365, at least), and a welcome addition to our music scene.

Singer/songwriter Josiah Knight

Josiah Knight

We are also saved early on in the show by a fun interview with Dustin Kaufman of the Weediculous Comedy Tour. He and three other LA area comics are travelling around the country in a minivan, filming a documentary about their tour and the state of marijuana culture in the US today. Many of their stops are in dispensaries and cafes, but here in Reno – we got them coming down to the Shea’s Tavern!! Thursday night, 5/9 (today for most of you) at 9pm he and his cohort will be kicking it off – filming it live for a documentary that should be up on Netflix … at some point. (As we know from Nowhere Nevada, a movie is only finished when it’s done!) Opening up for them are Reno Comedians, Jenny PezDeSpencer and Brandon Lara! Good times….

WEEDICULOUS COMEDY TOUR

Before I ruin anything else, I’m going to sign off.
Thanks for Listening!
