Hello again, and welcome to the Worst Little Podcast in the world! This week Almond Mocha Music and poet extraordinaire, Elisa Garcia joined us on the show. Listen up as Kim, Kelly, and Elisa take over Dogwater Studios (RV, Rory, Nick, and Dogwater Dick are here too). We’re steering the ship now, and we’ve got beer. Look out. We’ve got Rory’s shitty old poems, Almond Mocha’s sexy chill vibes, and sexy raindrops galore for the lovely Elisa.
Almond Mocha Music is RV, aka Motorhome Music, and Kelly Proud. They describe themselves as fun, exciting, dancey enough to get your feet tapping but still appropriately layers over conversation on a long drive or over a cup of coffee. This new musical journey between these two musicians is a wonderful departure from the norm. Stitch and @motorhomemusic shatter musical expectations with their collaboration, Almond Mocha. Described as “uplifting” and “hopeful music” this step outside of either of their creative norms produces a sound consistently compared to The Postal Service, The Album Leaf and Massive Attack.
Reno’s slam queen, Elisa, works with the Holland Project producing weekly all ages open poetry nights and produces the quarterly adult themed poetry night, LIT at Night. See the next installment of LIT at Night April 21st at Headquarters Bar.
This weekend is St. Patrick’s day, and as always there’s no shortage of

This week we have the talented AF dudes from Reno metal-core band, Salythian. These Reno natives laid some serious rock and roll on us here at Dogwater Studio. Not only are they seriously accomplished musicians, they’re social media wizards. Listen up to hear how they do the thing they do.
This mostly instrumental trio is made up of Amar Barboza- (Drums), Tell Gresko- (Bass), and Dawson Copeland- (Guitar).
Thanks to the band for being on the show! We had a great time interviewing you three and we’ll be looking out for your upcoming shows. Follow them on Facebook so you can too! Salythian rocks. Literally.
In other news, I would like to give a shout out to Headquarters Bar and to the bands that played Saturday night to raise money for the victims of the Las Vegas shooting. SWIGS, One Ton Dually, and Riptide Bandits slayed that room and raised $360. If you haven’t visited Headquarters yet, get your tail down there. It is Reno As Fuck in the best way. If you’re inclined to help your fellow Renoites make downtown greater than ever, head over to their fundraiser page. There are some pretty sweet rewards, but really, the only reward I need is HQ staying open so I can see more rad shows like Saturday night’s.
This week your to do list includes some kick ass shows, and one incredibly bizarre event staring Cory Feldman. Weren’t expecting that, were ya… Check out my picks for the week:

Thankfully we’re not burning and we’re not flooding! Our hearts go out to everyone affected by the recent natural disasters. We love you. This week we’re joined by JUST Rory and Rick because they told me not to come in. It’s okay because I really *was* scissoring the drummer from SWIGS. You guys were all spot on. ANYWAY! Y’all are in for some great instrumental surf punk, some talk about old naked Satanists, and jokes about me (Kadillac Kim, in case you’re not following along) hooking up with our podcast guests! Riptide Bandits have been around for a “really long time”, according to band members. They are so legendary they don’t even need to know when they formed. It is as if they always existed. They might be vampires.

You can see Jonathan with his other band, SWIGS, on September 22nd at Alturas on the DL! They join The Habituals for an End of Summer Tiki Party. Let’s make tiki torches great again!
