#611 S15E34 Glitter Bats: Halloween III
This week we get ready for Halloween! It’s our guests Glitter Bats third time as our Halloween episode musical act and we’re quite delighted!
Freddie heads up the group as singer and songwriter, with a super strong gorgeous voice,joined by Rip Von Shred Master Chris on guitar, heavy metal warrior young Jared also on guitar, low tones and fuzz by Keith on bass, cherry on top Jon with the keyboard and our own WLP host, Nick on drums. Always challenging themselves and constantly progressing, the Bats are getting tight as a band and as friends.
They’ve released 6 singles since we last saw them with a couple more on the way. They plan a full album release sometime next year. However, this year they came to Dogwater Studios with a bunch of cool covers from bands like The Church, The Sonics, Concrete Blonde and more!
The band catch up a little, discuss many topics including scary movies, childhood costumes, and cult comparisons!
We had a blast with the everyday is Halloween rockers and hope you catch them play a special set including a mini set from Misfits tribute band Candyapple & the Razorblades with sci fi horror punks Hired Fun and stoner doom metal thrashers Burning Harvest this Friday 10/31 at the Cellar Stage at Alturas in Reno. Cash prizes for best costumes. It’s sure to be a glam slam hauntingly sexy, spooky good time.
