Roy Durand – Who The Hell Is He? – S10 E34
Greetings from fall, I guess. The weather has turned and so has our focus. All the way from Mobile, AL, we have drummer and songwriter, Roy Durand. Roy has never lived in Reno, has only been here once, and has no impending plans to return. So why are we featuring him on our show? Because he’s a pretty awesome dude, that’s why. (And Rev. Rory and he became friends in Louisiana about a decade ago), just before the podcast started.
This show is a lot of fun – he came prepared for a real music podcast, but quickly learned to play along. Roy is a real travelling troubador with lots of stories. Lots of laughs this time, and even Dogwater Dick was made uncomfortable for once.

Jub Jub and The Riptide Bandits – Bittersweet – S10 E33
What a fucking week. I’m personally still processing a lot of things that have happened, personally and publicly, as I’m sure many of you are too.
For this week’s episode, we are joined by some of the creators and founders and owners of Jub Jub’s Thirst Parlor, Brian Smith, Faith Zayumeyer, Josh Smith and Lew Zaumeyer. From the playa to Wells Avenue, it’s a wild, passionate telling of a story and borderline meltdown that Jess Blaze would be proud of.
In an unprecedented decision, Marianarchy is going to put on an Emergency Marianarchy to help Jub’s out, in light of the difficulties in owning a venue in 2020. Furthermore, this October surprise will replace the traditional Winterball. Because we need to make it happen for our family, our home. Sadly, it was not all fun and drinking games this week. Reno lost a good friend and talented musician this weekend. Grouch. A guitarist for many Reno bands including The Riptide Bandits and Voted Best Band, Grouch was a beloved member of the Reno music and art community. His sudden passing is an incredible shock. All the music this week is from The Riptide Bandits, much of it from their unreleased second album, recorded here at Dogwater Studios. We hope you enjoy it.

Weapons of Mass Creation – Repeat Offenders, Top Contenders – S10 E30
You can’t keep a good band down and no Reno band epitomizes that made-up saying better than our guests this week, Weapons of Mass Creation. You can’t call it a comeback, because they’ve been here for many years (you can’t call it a plagarism, because it’s altered a bit.).
We get to talk to them about the ever-ongoing next album, getting closer and closer to completion. We start the musical segments of the show, with a special look at Joe Atack’s solo project. Pan clues us into what he’s been up to as Reno’s current poet laureate (you can catch monthly him at Sierra Arts in the historic downtown Artists’ Lofts). Momo Promo and The Shades of Queening – S10 E28
This weekend, Worst Little Podcast and Marianarchy Reno are proud to be co-hosts of an event organized by our good friend, Momo Mendoza of Momo Promo. The event is a Virtual Fundraiser for Shades of Queening, an advocacy and support resource for women of color in Reno.
Reno is a transient town and not nearly as diverse as other urban and cultural centers; the support systems that might exist elsewhere, based on family and community, especially for women of color, are not as strong as they should be in this community. Shades of Queening attempts to encourage and facilitate those networks and community development in a rapidly changing Reno.

Pierre’s most recent project is “An Autumn Afternoon”, a second collection of solo tunes. Recorded at Pus Cavern in Sacramento, Marche collaborated extensively with Chris Fox. They go in some detail about how that process works for them, from inspiration to tracking.
