We were stoked to welcome back one of our absolute favorite groups, Heterophobia! With Jace, guitarist & vocals, Bread (Brett) the bassist and Master Cactus killing the drums.

Their sound feels like frantic melodic post punk rock with emotion. Jace has a passionate strong yet fragile vocal quality with intelligent lyrics and skillful creative technical guitar work, while Bread’s bass weaves a complimentary, yet differing line as opposed to just following the root notes, combined with Cactus’s solid and intricate beats Heterophobia has a unique, distinctive sound that’s all their own.

Of course, with a name like Heterophobia they’re loud and proud queer punks with charm, humor, and camaraderie, that would explain being together for a decade with no sign of slowing down. They’re tight and hangout with each other outside of the band. That’s rad.

They’re celebrating their ten-year anniversary this Friday at the Alpine with Donkey Jaw, Vakker and newbies Flicker & Fade. Music starts at 8pm. All Ages!

We enjoy a bunch of tunes and talk about all kinds of stuff including movies, pizza guys, thanksgiving and funeral potatoes!

You can find Heterophobia on all the platforms and socials.

Happy Aluminum Anniversary fellas!
