Oh hi, I didn’t see you there! Welcome to the Worst Little Podcast. Your hosts Nick, Kadillac Kim, and Dogwater Dick are here with some fresh faces to the Reno music scene, 33 Black. This week’s podcast has gone country! Yeehaw! Listen up for some new music from these up-and-comers, along with a heavy dose of inappropriate banter. Like we do.
33 Black was formed back in the day (they never got around to telling us which day exactly) when Jeb and Travis, who were high school
sweethearts friends, met Spencer on the internet. But unlike most Craigslist hookups, this one lasted.
Thank’s to 33 Black for being Kim’s reason to get drunk this week! Their next show is in Chico on June 14th but look for local shows soon. As always, stay tuned to the Worst Little Podcast for news about the band, and check them out on iTunes to listen to their two EPs that are out now. We will be following 33 Black with interest and we can’t wait to see where these guys go!

If you’re a fan of the show please consider donating to our Patreon so we can reimburse Rick for all he does for Reno music. He’s doing the lords work recording and archiving all this local music for y’all for free, so throw a little money his way. Rick and Jesus are homies so if you help Rick he’ll put a good word in for you. Hell knows we could all use all the help we can get in that area… It has been an absolute pleasure, as always, Reno. Tune in next week for local singer-songwriter Joni Blinman. Remember, life is short and we love you.
Greetings and welcome back to the Worst Little Podcast! This week we sat down with Shane from Reno’s own Bat Country. Press play to find out if the podcast lives down to everything Shane hoped for! We’ve got band news, bad jokes, and great music that you’ll only hear on the Worst Little Podcast!
Shane is the center piece of Bat Country’s amorphous collective of folk-punk musicians, but according to Bandcamp, the latest EP had contributions by:
Shane: Vox, Guitar, Playful Banter, Lyrics
Shilpa: Vox, Glockenspiel
Jonny: Drums, Bass, Production, Vox
Roo: Ukulele, Vox, Kazoo
Michael: Melodica, Violin
Head over to Bandcamp to download Bat Country’s latest release, a split album with Bargain Socks, produced by Jonathan Rolling. Follow the band on Facebook and Instagram for exclusive content and show dates! Catch Bat Country next March 4th at The Potentialist with swing-time, rag-punk band, Robbers Roost.
Thanks so much to Bat Country for the hangs and the tunes. We are even bigger fans now and we’re looking forward to seeing you in a basement or tunnel soon!

Welcome! Kim and Rory played hooky this week, but fortunately our other hosts Nick, Chewy, and Dogwater Dick were present to pick up the slack. Press play right now to hear some SUPER SECRET (okay, it’s not secret, but it is SUPER) Grimtones news that you’ll only hear on the Worst Little Podcast! This weeks show has everything – astrology, tales of auto-erotic asphyxiation, and uncomfortable silences. Pretty much in that order!
Our guest this week is Reno
Jackson 5 cover band experimental, psychedelic alt-rock band, Blacklisted. Established in 2015, Blacklisted is what happens when you form a band while on drugs (calm down, it’s legal now!). The band is busy writing new music and is planning on a spate of February and March shows.
Many thanks to Blacklisted for gracing our studio for this weeks show. Next week we have the elusive and mysterious Bat Country as our musical guest. Rory and Kim will be back and Kim will be sharing some exciting details about the first ever Reno Punk Rock Flea Market.
Don’t forget to click through to our Patreon. Rick works hard all week and spends his night off recording/archiving Reno bands for FREE. So kick some funds down. Feel like you want a little something in return for your scratch? We’ll do just about anything. Want some stickers? We’ve got stickers. Advertising? Our silky radio voices are primed and ready. Want us to host topless? Hit us up.
Thursday – Gina Rose / Dead Country Gentlemen / The Grimtones at St. James Infirmary. 21+ 9PM NO COVER
Friday – Roxxy Collie & Gina Rose at Pignic! 21+ 9PM NO COVER

See you next week. Thanks for listening!
-WARNING: NSFW The Worst Little Podcast in the World, bringing you live Reno music since 2010! (plus dick jokes... lots of dick jokes.) It is tasteless tacky and offensive. But WLP isn't just for self indulgence, no! It is a chance for us to bring the musicians you see on stage into your home, car or cubicle. We also like to highlight the Greater Reno Area and everything that makes this town rock.
