Happy Thanksgiving from all of us at the Worst Little Podcast! This week we have something to be extra thankful for. Our guests this week are the phenomenally talented folks of Reno’s best Garage Soul band, Failure Machine.
Failure Machine’s current lineup is Spencer Kilpatrick on guitar and singing stuff, Clintonious Philbin on drums, and Rachael McElhiney plays bari sax and also does singing stuff.
Failure Machine plays all the cool basements and sometimes they play for the rest of us who aren’t cool enough for basements. See Failure Machine’s next show at The Saint, New Years Eve! It’s a Failure Machine, Dainesly, and Team Francis high school prom do-over! As a special treat, they’ll be performing soul covers of Misfits songs. I am really excited, guys.
Thanks so much for being our guest this week! We can’t wait to see you again!
It may be Thanksgiving weekend, but don’t fret, Reno isn’t going to let a little thing like a family holiday get in the way of our good time. If you need an excuse to flee awkward conversations and racist uncles, this list might be for you!
Thursday – Thanksgiving orphans (like myself – holler) can find food and friends at the following local bars. Bring something to share!
Go for the food, stay for the friends, and have a safe and happy Thanksgiving.
Friday – It’s Record Store Day at Recycled Records! They’re raffling off some great prizes to benefit the Food Bank of Northern Nevada. Go for the 2,000 new to you records and stay for the live music going all day! 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Kid friendly
Saturday – Make Him A Steak, a groove based pedal steel trio, will be releasing their debut EP titled To Eat at The Saint. There will be performances by Redfield Clipper, Team Francis, and DJ The Terrible! Details here. 21+ 8 p.m.
Sunday – Tommy Stinson’s (The Replacements) Cowboys in the Campfire Reno comes to 7th Street Station. This is a private house show with a very limited amount of tickets left. Click on the event link for more details! All ages. 7 p.m.
That wraps up this week’s excellent show. Thanks for listening, Reno!
-WARNING: NSFW The Worst Little Podcast in the World, bringing you live Reno music since 2010! (plus dick jokes... lots of dick jokes.) It is tasteless tacky and offensive. But WLP isn't just for self indulgence, no! It is a chance for us to bring the musicians you see on stage into your home, car or cubicle. We also like to highlight the Greater Reno Area and everything that makes this town rock.
