So, this episode was supposed to be number 2 of the new season. Episode 1 was supposed to be an audio of our live show. Unfortunately there was some sort of computer malfunction after the fact and the entire show was lost. So yeah. To make it up to you we thought we’d have some drugs for our first show of season 2 – Miracle Drugs!
Buddy Zac
Well, we have 3/4 of Miracle Drugs, anyway. Zac Damon (Zoinks!, Screeching Weasel, Squirtgun, Crushstory, Big In Japan), Shane Forester and Tim ‘A.J.’ Blake (local bands you’ve never heard of) were able to join us in the Dogwater Studios. Drummer and token non-Frenchie, Pierre Marche (Screeching Weasel, Sucka Punch), has listened to the podcast before and politely declined the appearance. Contrastingly, as you can tell by his sincere-est smile in the picture, Zac was super excited to come do the show!
Miracle Drugs have been polluting the air with their peppy poppy toe-tappy happy music for a while now. You might want to check them out. You might really really like them. Their next show is Friday Feb 3, 2012 – Punk Rock Prom at The Alley in Sparks!

This first episode of the new year is a real class act; there is nothing overtly sexual or graphoc within the first 15 minutes of the episode. Not at all. Guest host Layla James certainly doesn’t put up or condone any of that nonsense. She keeps us on-point and in-line from the get-go! Thanks Layla, you’re a loudmouthed bitch peach!

Preparation is futile; prepare to be entertained.
We try to book you QUALITY performers in this studio every week. It’s like a job an’ shit to us. This week, however, we had a problem getting the band, Seasons of Insanity in here. I’m going to blame it on Charter, since one of them had to be at work late. Seasons of Insanity will join us on another episode later this fall – keep listening.
Instead, we have some of our favorite people riding the mic with us this week. Layla James joins us again and is utterly crushed that her score on the Worst Little Quiz in the World was destroyed by Andy 86 last week. She’s going to have to go out and have LOTS of random sex to climb back up there, so, gentlemen, check out that website for all your stalking related information to see if Layla’s the woman of your dreams! (…if I didn’t have a wife, I tell ya…)
Chewie is still sticking around, but Nick is off in the playa being a dirty hippee for another week or so. The Codiak, Dakota Joe also joins us in the studio. It’s always a problem when Codiak and Chewie are in the studeio. They’re funny, but they’re also quiet on the radio. Maybe more beer would help – no. No. We’ve already established that that is a bad idea.
Goofus and Gallant
Rory brings two contributions to the show – a disturbing news story and a more personal story about Rick and Rory ‘back-in-the-day’. Very family friendly – if your family is a bunch of tweakers. Also, we feature the recorded music of Pinky Polanski, The Shames, and Dogwater Dick himself! The Shames are going to start recording with Rick next monday, so no show. On the plus side, it means that we are just that much closer to having what is arguaby Reno’s best punk band actually in the studio with us.
So, on that note – there is no show next week. It’s Labor Day. I’m gettin’ me some barbecue.

We return with a tempered vengance and too much to talk about! Neither Rory nor Nick got to talk about everything they wanted to get to. In studio we have some great friends and a new friend with us. Layla James of Rock 104.5 FM and iamlaylajames (and TV and commercials and all sorts of other cool stuff we’re all jealous of) hangs out with us and films us for her own video blog. She was a blast and welcome to take a chairor call in any time she wants. Unfazed by any and all questions. As opposed to Jackson Truckle of Spike and Jackson who spoke maybe 7 and 1/2 words, aside from singing.
He plays so fast enough to look like an amputee!
That’s right – on the Internets for the first time EVAR: Spike and Jackson!!! They so old school, they don’t have computers! These stone age rockers throw down a couple of tracks and join in with the (Ever-Evolving) Worst Quiz Ever. Also, join us for our first installment of “What’s Matty Drinking?”, hopefully a brand new segment centered around intoxication.
