"They all want cake." - Wilford B.

So, this episode was supposed to be number 2 of the new season. Episode 1 was supposed to be an audio of our live show. Unfortunately there was some sort of computer malfunction after the fact and the entire show was lost. So yeah. To make it up to you we thought we’d have some drugs for our first show of season 2 – Miracle Drugs!

Zac Damon

Buddy Zac

Well, we have 3/4 of Miracle Drugs, anyway. Zac Damon (Zoinks!, Screeching Weasel, Squirtgun, Crushstory, Big In Japan), Shane Forester and Tim ‘A.J.’ Blake (local bands you’ve never heard of) were able to join us in the Dogwater Studios. Drummer and token non-Frenchie, Pierre Marche (Screeching Weasel, Sucka Punch), has listened to the podcast before and politely declined the appearance. Contrastingly, as you can tell by his sincere-est smile in the picture, Zac was super excited to come do the show!

Miracle Drugs have been polluting the air with their peppy poppy toe-tappy happy music for a while now. You might want to check them out. You might really really like them. Their next show is Friday Feb 3, 2012  – Punk Rock Prom at The Alley in Sparks!

Shane Forster and Tim Blake

Is it just me or do they look like they have the 'Free Candy' van?

This first episode of the new year is a real class act; there is nothing overtly sexual or graphoc within the first 15 minutes of the episode. Not at all. Guest host Layla James certainly doesn’t put up or condone any of that nonsense. She keeps us on-point and in-line from the get-go! Thanks Layla, you’re a loudmouthed bitch peach!

Layla and Roxie!

Well, I’m out of words again. We’ll try to be more consistent this season. No, really!
Thanks for listening.

Worst Little Podcast – Episode 029

Felix Polanski and Andy 86

Divided by beer. Reunited by beer.

And now, boys and girls, here’s a podcast.

If you’re a loyal listener you hay have heard last week that we were going to have the guys from Big Remote in this week. Unfortunately, there was a death in the family of one of the members and we’re postphoning the show with them. Much love to Foreman, Brown and Dixon families from all of us at the Worst Little Podcast in the World. Don’t fret though – they’ll be on soon. They can’t afford NOT to be on the most popular local music podcast in Reno.

Andy 86, Felix Polanski and Chewbacca!

We really have no standards - we'll let anyone in here. Even Clampers.

Instead we get Felix. Yeah, that’s right, Felix Polanski. *facepalm* It was a last minute thing; I know, I’m sorry. To balance that out we also have Jess from Cherrybear Records and Andy 86 from The Riptide Bandits LOS PISTOLEROS!  Even though the rest of the Pistols couldn’t make it on short notice, Andy graciously let us play a couple fo tracks from their upcoming CD release. (It will be out just as soon as their singer gets out of the slammer.)

Also, we finally play the tapes from the Undiscovered 2011 show. Rory recorded a brief interview with Los Pistoleros in the garage, right as they found out Felix is a dummy when he’s loaded. We also have an interview with a very drunk Felix AFTER a real disaster was avoided. He’s such a jerk. Felix and Andy publicly bury the hatchet for your entertainment!

Chewie’s back – not much to say except for his impeccably placed one-liners, as usual. This whole ‘Return of Chewbacca’ thing is actually starting to get old. But, whatever. It’s good to have the ol’ wookie back in town. We’re looking forward to him sticking around for the rest of the year.

We’ve got news, events and the Worst Little Quiz too. Can Andy unseat our current recordholder, Layla James? Listen in and find out!

Thanks for listening.

The Rythm Section – Nick and Roger

The Leader – Mr. Tobin Jones!

Back in the saddle again!
At least for now – Chewie is going out on the job for about a month. Don’t let the door hit you in the ass on the way out Good luck, friend! We wish you well!
How about that new logo! A big big BIG thank you to Felix Polanski for designing that for us. Coming soon to a T-shirt near you.
Back to this week- in studio we have the righteous talents of Present, the humbe side of Reno supergroups. Present is Tobin Jones, Roger Rowland and WLP’s own Nick Ramirez – three long-time veterans of the Reno music scene. Present has a lineup of really tight, pretty, and rockin’ songs (chick rock). The boys are all married, so condolences to all the Present groupies awaiting them throughout Northern Nevada. Seriously though, Present is still a pretty new band and they have a TON of upcoming shows – that only happens if you’ve got the goods. Since they don’t have much of an internet presence, you’ll have to listen to the WHOLE show to find out where they are playing next.
Nick brings a special story to tell about the ongoing dmise of Hella A Capella, Reno’s only a capella group. It’s truly a heart- warmer you can read to your kids at night. It’s too bad what happened, and you might think Nick was kinda being a dick (lol) but we wish the remaining members of the band well in the future.
That’s it for this week. And remember, if you’re going to get a tattoo, make it a Stingray Tattoo – mention you heard about them on the podcast!
Thanks for listening.

Worst Little Podcast – Episode 019 BONUS EPISODE!!! EXTRA LONG!!!!

The saying goes, “No place to go but up from here.”
They’re wrong.
Part two includes music from Werm, Sprout, Mudsharks, Cranium, Phat Couch, The Atomiks, and Gunshot Licker
So this is Part Two of the Memorial Day Meltdown. I still say it’s a bad idea.  BUT there is joy in mudville. In our first segment, (mostly) Rory  talks with J-bot from Captured! By Robots. The mechanical tyrants have him out on a tour again, bruising his tender meaty appendages to lug them and their gear across this country. He will be finishing his latest tour this weekend in our fair mountains. Check him out on Friday 6/10 at Whiskey Dick’s in Tahoe or on Saturday 6/11 at Tonic in Reno. It should be a great show – The bots have some new tricks up their … cladding… and are ready to rip your faces off with rock and roll! … and titanum instrumentation.

Those shows will be around rock and roll time, so if you’re out and about in Reno on Saturday, come by Wingfield Park downtown. Guerilla Productions are putting on the Reno Block party there all day long – 10am to 10 pm. Just in time to catch a little C!BR action. Those kids are still in the studio (mostly) this episode, although there were some casualties along the way. Bullet Bar Dave, Jessalicious, the Kodiak and Felix P all stick around with us too.
Part two includes music from Werm, Sprout, Mudsharks, Cranium, Phat Couch, The Atomiks, and Gunshot Licker
Once we get past the interview with Captured! By Robots, the shouting match Top Ten List  resumes, and we spend the rest of the show trying to make it through the list as fast as a room full of drunkards can focus on anything. That’s most of the reason that this is such a long episode (nearly 2 hours)!

Anyway, we apologize in retrospect and thank you in advance! Enjoy the show!

I don’t know why I even show up anymore…

Our podcast goes to ’11’. Felix, from Pinky Polanski, invades our studio with his pinko ways, tries to start a revolution and pretty well succeeds in taking over the show from the get go. We try to keep him on track, but it’s about as productive as throwing papertowels at a thunderstorm. Nick and Felix perform an original tune and break Nick’s guitar!!

We also have a live studio audience for the first time. “The Kodiak” and “Jessalicious” hang with Rick in the tech room, chiming in occasionally. Also, our very first sponsors! Somewhere in the middle of this chaotic party we actually have a show, I swear.
